The summer schedule is mostly the same routine as the winter schedule with a minor adjustment in the first 30 minutes of the program. Since the weather is hotter, the children do not need as much time to put away their things during the summer. Therefore they are given 15 minutes rather then 30 (like in winter) to put away their things. Then for the remaining 15 minutes before circle time the children will have morning stretch time with a few dance routines (example hokey pokey , head shoulders knees & toes, bear hunt, etc) until it is time for morning circle time. I chose stretches & dancing because during the summer & especially in the morning for toddlers the energy is very high upon arrival so they can relieve some of that energy before the day begins.
